This was a new construction on a porch in a subdivision that overlooks the Potomac River. The porch was constructed using the 1” x 3 ½” T&G profile. The color of this porch was Sandstone. The project used one hundred fifteen pieces of the 1” x 3 ½ x 16’ T&G and thirty eight pieces 1” x 3 ½ x 12’ T&G. Lastly there were two 1” x 11 ¼ x 12’ Bull Nose boards used to construct the steps. The EVOLVE® product was used because the customer liked the idea of having a virtually maintenance free deck. The wood grain finish was very appealing and the customer liked that the product was environmentally friendly and fit into the “green” movement. The porch was screwed every 16” on the joist spacing with stainless steel deck screw. The EVOLVE material was a perfect match for the customer and their requirements for the porch application.
